DescriptionJust on the out skirts of North Petherton Near Bridgwater and Taunton. This is lovely walk, well known by the locals. Access off junction 24 on the M5 through North Petherton on the A38 turning right by the booze buster. At the end of the road, go straight across onto cliff road, follow the road up hill, and it is the first turning on the right after the national speed limit signs, follow this small lane to the end and there is a farm house and a small car park, parking is limited, and wheel chair access is unavailable. The walk is as long as you want it to be, after about a mile it splits off in two directions, one going up and the other going down, the path is flat until this split, there is a small stream at a low level to the path, and a few areas where dogs can run down and access the water, there is lots of wildlife here and regularly horse riders use the track, there is also some jumps for mountain bikes near the beginning of the path, wellies are recommended if it has been raining at all as it gets very muddy, is also a great bike ride or run with the dogs. all in all a good easy walk with the dogs, one I have been going to for years.
