Great walk until you hit the road, which the author was right, is extremely busy! We did this in summer, the path on the other side of the bridge near the village was completely overgrown; you couldn't see a path was ever there. We had to turn around. Suggest you cross the road, turn left and then first right to get back to the directions (around the field and houses, not across them).
