There is a fee car park and ice cream van in the summer. You can walk in both directions along the Thames. If you head to the left and walk for about 40 minutes, you'll come to a fabulous pub just by a bridge. It's dog friendly and open every day in the summer and weekends at winter. There are also several other pubs close to the car park which are also dog friendly and serve divine food.
There are little inlets along the walk where water loving dogs can have a splash and chase the ducks and a few benches dotted along the way where you can take a breather.
It's very popular with other dog lovers and walkers so you're bound to have a natter with someone along the way.
There are cows loose in the meadow sometimes, however, they are un-phased by the passing human and dog traffic. Probably best to keep a leash handy if you're not sure how your furry friend will react to creatures of the bovine variety.
