DescriptionThe walk at Parke is around the grounds and woodlands of a grand country house, which is now the offices of the Dartmoor National Park. Follow the signs to the large free car park, here you will find a map so you can plan your walk. There are so many different walks through woodlands, meadows, along the rivers and streams. You can continue all the way into Lustleigh where there is a nice dog friendly pub called The Cleave (we like to have a drink and lunch outside in the sunshine!) In some of the meadows leading up to the country house there are sometimes so sheep so I leave my dogs on the lead until we are through the gate and into the woodland area. If your dog is a fan of the water you can walk through the woods following the river which has lots of opportunities for dogs who love swimming! This is a lovely quiet walk that you can make as long or short as you want.
