Leave Nantwich railway station keeping the railway pub on the right, across the pelican crossing and turn right into station rd, Morrisons is on the left (Handy for any walking supplies needed) Follow the road round into Pratchetts row and up to the mini roundabout and turn right into Hospital st, continue to another roundabout where Churches Manisions (A large timber framed 16th century building) is on the right and head straight across at the roundabout and the road becomes London rd on the left is the Leopard pub, our suggestion is leave a call in there to on the way back.. Follow London road up, over a level crossing and the road then becomes Newcastle Road, carry on up through a set of traffic lights and just after that Cheerbrook farm shop & Cafe is on the left up a drive way, well signposted from the main road. The pathway then moves slightly away from the main road and up to a pedestrian crossing (across the Nantwich bypass) follow the path to the right and into old Newcastle rd, follow this road and it will bare left into Cheerbrook Rd continue to crossroads and turn left into Wybunbury Rd follow this road and cross the level crossing into Wistaston Rd, The Willaston Sports Club is on the left (Unsure if membership is needed) it has a no dogs sign on the door but there are some outside tables. On the right is the Lamb pub (untried and don’t know if dogs are welcome or if it has any outside seating) Continue along the road and there is Local Premier Shop & a Fish & Chip Shop both on the left. The road carries on over the T junction of Coppice Rd and a little further up on the left is the Nags head pub (A dog friendly pub both inside and in the small but cosy outside seating area at the back) After suitable refreshments have been taken in this friendly hostelry retrace Wistaston Rd back to the level crossing and turn right into Park Rd and continue along until there is a public footpath sign on the left, follow this path across the fields and over an old railway bridge and eventually coming out at the Nantwich bypass crossing again. Cheerbrooks Farm shop will now be on the right (Recommended for their fine selection of different sausages!) Continue back along the road to level crossing and back down London Rd to Leopard on the right, from here if no more refreshments are required continue to the 2nd roundabout (By Morrisons) and keep following hospital St into Nantwich town centre, at the very end of the street turn right into the main square for lots of cafes and shops in this quaint market town. Total walking distance 5miles without including wandering around the town centre.
