The Pinewoods and Woodhall Spa

Woodhall Spa is doggy heaven and you'll see plenty of doggy friends walking around the town. A charming historic town nestled in amongst a woodland area. Very unique setting. There are literally loads of walks and country parks surrounding the town. This walk is the Pinewoods which is directly behind the main road, accessible at several different points, easily found. 7.6 hectares of paths and trails. Massive trees, soft ground and well cared for. Sheltered in the summer.

Dogs can run free, although be careful of 1 road running through the middle.

For small or elderly dogs, take a short walk through to the Kinema in the woods, and follow the through road to the cafe and have a pitstop. Many dog friendly cafes on the main road with plenty of bowls.

For energetic dogs, explore more woods,or walk back to the town and then out towards the golf course along Viking Way. There are literally loads of options. There is a board in the town showing you walks. Or go online.

The town has a lot if history and if you like that sort of thing there are stories of the town during the war, as it was a pivotal RAF and Army base. The town is gorgeous Tudor houses and several ruined Abbeys nearby. Make a weekend of it and stay locally.

There are several paid car parks but I have always managed to park further out on the roads for free. 5 minutes walk.
