Hi, can you park close to where the walk starts; and is it an obvious route to someone who has never been? the dogs are used to being off lead and don't have a lot of road sense. Thx -

Hi, tried to find this walk but the sat nav took me to a junction on the Whittlesey Road, built up area, no sign of a river or fields anywhere, any ideas as it looked such a great walk. -

The post code is PE2 8HZ. turn left off Coneygree road onto thistle drive. take second right onto Wessex close. first left on to unnamed road, at the end turn right. drive to the other side of a fenced in building and there is a car park. This area is called Tenter hill. you can wander round the grassy area between the car park and the river. BUT there are decent 2 walks. 1) go's over the bridge next to the lock and leads to Whittlesey, you can either walk on the footpath/cycleway or walk alongside the river (i would go next to the river to avoid the cyclists). 2) nearly opposite the car car park is a foot path going down into the trees, after a couple of hundred yards it go's along a part of the old Nene that leads to Kings Dyke. this is also a footpath/cycleway. this go's to horsey toll bridge, and when they have finished the road works at horsey toll, the path will go to Farcet. This path gets quite busy at times. I let my dog off on both of these walks BUT because 2) is sometimes a bit busy I often put her on the lead.
