About this walk

Hill Rise Park is situated off Hill Rise. The entrance comprises of two flower beds either side a small roadway which leads the visitors into a small car parking area. Hill Rise can be approached from two directions – from the Somersham Road or Huntingdon Road. It is 6 hectares (15 acres) in area. The park offers: 20 space car park Designated dog walking area Small mature copse Multi wheels activity area with teenage shelter, basket ball and football goals Play area Picnic area Toilet facilities close by at the St. Ives Outdoor Centre Large space for kite flying. Big Walkies use this walk in the winter months!

Tried out this walk today. Brilliant. Public park with its very own dog walk. Long enclosed walk leads to a small wood. Gate access to very large field. Access to park also. Good children's play park makes this a multifunctional venue. Picnic tables and large grass area also. Was muddy today 31-01-2016.

Enclosed area has many broken areas where my dog can escape. He then ran into the road. The entrance is very muddy and wellies are necessary.

Nice fenced off area for dogs to play off leash. Small wooded area as well. Definitely recommend.

Think the dodgy fences must have been fixed since we've started walking here as we've had no problems. Great place for recall practice. My dog loves being off leash but can't always be trusted so it's nice to have somewhere safe she can run around and socialise with other pups.
