Lovely walk around the lakes and River Ouse. Path in one place runs next to working quarry, but other than that dogs off lead. I recommend the River Trail.
Nature Reserve
This walk has been marked as a nature reserve. Dogs are usually welcome however restrictions may apply.
Each nature reserve has its own rules regarding dog walking, and some may not allow dogs. Kindly keep an eye out for the relevant signs within the reserve or visit the reserve's website before your visit for more information.
In most nature reserves, it's kindly requested to keep dogs on a lead at all times. Allowing dogs to roam off-lead can create issues or cause distress to livestock and wildlife.
If you see other visitors, please put your dog on lead whilst you are walking near them. Nature reserves are for the benefit of wildlife and frequently host educational visits.
Some nature reserves have dog poo bins, but if you can’t find one please take the waste home with you.

Quite a few places dog needs to be on a lead and also places to be very aware of as a lorry drove nearby when we at the gravel pits. We also walked by cows on the meadow, although fortunately they were all calm and the dog didn't notice. We did about 3.5 miles, next time we will go straight to the river walk.

Park at the visitors centre for free, but it’s not huge. Was filled up by the time I finished our walk.
