Slieve Donard is the highest mountain of the Mournes in Co Down (area of outstanding beauty)!
There are various starting points such a Donard car park which takes you through a forest then onto a path up the mountain.
Or leave from the bloody bridge car park for a steep climb past a quarry which is a bit quieter.
Lovely open spaces for dogs to run around.
Sometimes sheep at the top of the mountain so beware if your dog likes to chase.
At the bottom of the mountain is toilets and picnic area.
