About this walk

Watergate Bay is a two-mile stretch of golden sand on the North Cornish coast, two miles from Newquay. A favourite with surfers and people flying kites (which drove my dog crazy - big multi-coloured birds in the sky!) it is dog-friendly all year round. Jame Oliver has a restaurant overlooking the beach (probably not dog-friendly, I don't know). But the Beach Hut, which is adjacent to the sand, is very dog-friendly and serves locally caught mussels and very fine hamburgers. I visited in April but I imagine this place gets mobbed in August.

I have been on this beach many times firstly with my old dalmatian and lately with my lurcher and my daughter wih her two lurchers. Great place for the dogs to ,let off steam.
