I've tried this footpath yesterday and was really nice. You start off going down the footpath by the entrance of the cricket club. Off lead areas, on lead area by the fields, enclosed doggy park in the middle, nice woodland few places for the dog to swim (just on the left corner of the field with the big oak tree) watery bits in the forest are stale and pongie.. You can park by the church ( always open, dog friendly, some of the best victorian wall paintings I've seen, must see for yourselves

There are 4 dog poo bins available One at both ends of Pitts wood and 2 at the dog park Added bonus is kids play park adjacent dog park if you are walking with your little ones Roman river is the one for dog to cool down best places are by the field with the big oak tree
