A lovely summer walk with refreshments. Park in Grove Woods car park at the far end from the gate. Walk across the field to the far right corner, walk over the bridge on your left and follow the path along a field until you reach woodland. This is Gusted Hall Woods. Take the left path to the end of the woods, turn left and walk up the right side of the field through the opening in the top right corner and head for the field diagonally ahead of you . Keep to left of the field and you will see Hockley woods ahead of you. When you reach the entrance to the woods, take the path straight ahead of you and keep walking . There is a slight left and immediately right in order to keep straight at one point but other than that keep walking and you will hit the garden entrance to the Bull pub for refreshments for you and your furbaby. Then you can either return the way you came (4.5-5k) or loop round to the right to extend your walk (7k ish) coming back. Mainly flat with some inclines.
Nature Reserve
This walk has been marked as a nature reserve. Dogs are usually welcome however restrictions may apply.
Each nature reserve has its own rules regarding dog walking, and some may not allow dogs. Kindly keep an eye out for the relevant signs within the reserve or visit the reserve's website before your visit for more information.
In most nature reserves, it's kindly requested to keep dogs on a lead at all times. Allowing dogs to roam off-lead can create issues or cause distress to livestock and wildlife.
If you see other visitors, please put your dog on lead whilst you are walking near them. Nature reserves are for the benefit of wildlife and frequently host educational visits.
Some nature reserves have dog poo bins, but if you can’t find one please take the waste home with you.
