Just at the bottom of Penshaw monument. Lovely swans and ducks in lake at car park. It’s a half an hour walk - not massively long but enjoyable. I guess you could make it a bit longer if you wanted to. This is one of our fanfare early Sunday morning walks. Dog off the lead most of the time and plenty of space for ball throwing. Mainly open air and good paths. -

Great walk. Plenty of routes to choose from. Also across the road from Penshaw Monument so you can gofor a walk up there too.
