Live in Niwbwrch (Newborough)), so forest walk is a daily event for us - you can extend that walk away from the forest to the sand-dunes at the start of the Menai Straight by using free parking to the SW of Pen-lôn roundabout which is on the A4080 just SE of Niwbwrch. Alternatively there is paid parking through into the main beach carpark which has toilet facilities. The area of beach jsut seaward of the paid car park isn't dog friendly for 1/2 mile either side of that May 1st to 30th September, but you can walk past that area through the forest. Suggest you set you car location before walking too far in the forest... in summer we often get asked by visitors where the car park is, that develops into 20 questions as they don't know which of 5 options (in different directions) they are parked at, but we can normally sus out where they think they are parked and help :-)
