Llanberis Path (Snowdon)

A tough walk up Snowdon is not for the feint hearted! Although a moderately fit person should manage it just fine, both you and your dog will sleep well afterward!

Officially on lead only, however if you have a very well behaved, calm dog off lead should be fine for most of the walk. If not strictly on lead as there are livestock and very high drops to fall off.

Snowdon is a mountain, sensible clothing and pre weather checks are a must. Summer should be no problem at all, however winter walks should be left to experienced hill walkers only.

Give yourself three to four hours going up, going at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops to admire the spectacular views. Two to Three hours coming back down.

There is a cafe half way up, and another at the top. I think they're only open seasonally, so check before you set off. The one at the top has toilets.

The path can get very busy in summer, and some parts are very steep and rocky, sensible footwear is advised.
