This walk starts at the railway station and takes the Steepest Road route up to Harlech Castle. Dogs are welcome in the castle, including in the Castle Cafe. The route continues through Harlech High Street to a viewing spot with benches to see the beach, castle and Snowdonia hills. The route back down is via a zig-zag forest walk then finally back along the road towards the railway station. With a stop at the viewing point it's roughly an hour. Note that the initial climb to the castle is extremely steep.
