Great place to walk with all types of terrain to suit your wants and needs. There is plenty of flat land, in and outside the woods but also more challenging steeper parts.
Most of the woodland area is neatly pathed but you can go of the trail and create your own adventures.
Impossible to do the same walk twice; you’ll always want to explore a new part and see how far you can go! Highlights include Wilder’s Folly and a hidden war bunker!
Some of the fields are farmland which are used at certain times of the year but can sometimes be used to walk on when not in use.
There are deer and small animals such as rabbits all throughout the woodland areas. Horses are sometimes walked as well in certain parts.
Great walk at all timea of the year but wellies are advisable on rainy days, especially if you wish to enter the woods.
There are various entry points but the link only includes the main car park.

Stopped here on way home from a weekend away. Great recommendation. Lovely woods and fields. Good paths and side paths so difficult to get lost.
