We started this walk at St Donats (Dimlands Road) then walked the trail past the playing fields to the cliff top path past UWC Atlantic College and then on to Nash Point Lighthouse. Great summer or autumn walk. The clifftop trail often gets boggy in Winter/Spring so wear boots. I would advise dogs stay on leads due to the amount of wildlife (rabbits and birds) near the cliff edge, which is often deceptively near the path but camouflaged by hedges. There are numerous stiles on the way, so could be difficult for those with mobility issues. The trail from UWC Atlantic to Nash Point is quite steep.

A pleasant walk with lovely sea views, however you have to pay for parking and because of the steep cliffs, I would advise that you keep your dog on a lead. There are 2 lighthouses and a fog horn near the car park and they are worth a photo or two.

Location details

Car park £3.00 for the day but I camped overnight for £15. There is a cafe with rude grumpy owners. Views from Clift top. Walk down onto beach which is rocky at the start but when tide is out there is a long Sandy stretch under the cliffs. There are a couple of loops out along the clifts and back round to the car park - some very large styles that you would have to lift dogs over.
