You can walk for miles here! Though the estate parklands and fields to the beach and along the coastal path. You can either come across from Plymouth in your car on the ferry and drive to the park or catch the passenger ferry which takes you straight to the bottom of the park (and more importantly a nice pub!)
You have to pay to park but the rest of the huge estate is all free to walk around, although you do have to pay to go in the main house. There are certain places where dogs need to be kept on the lead as you can walk through fields of sheep and a deer park but the majority can be all off lead.
