This 4 mile walk starts at the bus stop in Pitt, south of Winchester and ends in Hursley. The route follows the footpath across the golf course to Oliver's Battery -so called as it is said Oliver Cromwell bombarded Winchester from her in the 17th Century. It then goes up Yew Hill, descending to Silkstead where it heads west to Hursley. There are two pubs in Hurley waiting for you at the end of the walk.
