This beautiful stretch of the Itchen Navigation is home to lovely water meadows, you can park at the Bridge pub, or along the road and walk from here to St Catherines Hill or even Winchester Town centre. The river is home to many protected species and has recently had improvements made to the river side paths, including entrances to the shallower parts of water for dogs. You can walk along the main path or follow the winding streams as they flow through the fields. A nice route is to park at the Bridge public house, walking along the river to St Catherine's hill, and then back to enjoy a pint or cup of tea with the friendly staff.

Lots of safe areas for the dog to have a dip -

A little overgrown (August 2020), lovely path runs along the stream which is perfect for paddling doggies!
