About this walk

Stoke Park Wood is a very large forested area in Bishopstoke, nr Eastleigh. It can be found by taking Underwood Drive up to Colchester Ave, turning right on to Stoke Park Road. There is a very small car park at the entrance to the wood. It is a very scenic area with many spur walks that take you off in many directions. Speaking to other dog walkers who know the area well, apparently it is possible to take pathways & routes around Stoke Park Wood, Crowdhill Copse and Upperbarn Copse that can take you on a walk in excess of 5 miles.

You can spend hours exploring this woodland. During April/May be sure to head over to Upperbarn Copse to see the rolling Blue Bell forest meadows. Easy access from top of Stoke heights, Hardings Lane, although parking has been restricted in this area.

Enjoyed a nice walk around here today. Followed the main gravel mostly as a bit muddy elsewhere but very nice for walking around. Gravel road if shut for maintenance a bit but easy to route around

Thanks to this site we decided to explore this walk today and ashamed to say we only live 5 miles away and never knew this lovely place existed. Its a perfect woodland walk lots of paths to explore with 2 mapped routes to follow 1.5 km and 3 km very safe and very quiet. Thoroughly recommend

Had a wonderful walk here last evening. Glad I wore wellies but if you keep to the gravel paths you should be ok, we love going off the paths into the woods. Buddy our Labrador thoroughly enjoyed it. The autumn colours were lovely.

Sadly Eastleigh Borough Council's Megalomaniac's are flattening this ancient woodland to build 10'S of thousands of houses. In spite of there being rare plants, and home to endangered reptiles and amphibians.

Nice place to walk, wide tracks. Quite a few people around, dog walkers, cyclists, joggers. There have been rumours of a stalker and flashers so don't walk there alone.

Went here today with my 5 month old puppy who I’m trying to socialise more. Such a lovely walk and met lots of furry friends on route. We stayed on the gravel as it was a bit muddy but looking forward to explore more of this area as the weather improves

Beautiful. Serene. Merlin and LilyBelle were ecstatic and had the most fun ever (trying) to chase the squirrels

Large forestry area with paths or plenty of space in the woods to explore. Regularly see deer, sometimes running across the path ahead - keep your dog away from them. Poo bins only at entrances so people do abandon poo bags throughout the woods - disgusting behaviour, don't do it! Plenty of wildlife, paths, streams, different routes, flat or inclines - truly something for everyone! Love it here.
