This 2.4 mile route starts from the south side of the motorway bridge on Hadrian Way, Bassett, Southampton. Parking on the road, take the footpath in between the first house and the bridge. The path follows around the edge of the woodland with views out over the golf course. It then cuts through the centre, across a stream and back up to the start. It's very easy to adjust the length and direction to suite the time and energy you have as paths lead in all directions.

Attempted this walk today, took a wrong turn and ended up going the wrong way past the kennels & cattery and the drive for a place called ‘utopia’! Easily retraced our steps and found our way back. Didn’t see a stream! Had a good walk through the woods despite getting a bit lost.
