About this walk

Nice little walk. Quite short but not completely flat so dogs can use up some energy. Not overly busy but used by joggers and cyclists. Can get a little muddy when raining. Recommended if you live in the area. I also read the council is soon to inject some money into the area... One thing to be aware of before using Testwood lakes is that the water has a blue-green algae which can cause upset tums or sickness. This is mentioned on the info board at the car park and on their dog walk info leaflet.

Lovely walk. Has a nature reserve for the bird watchers.. You see all sorts of animals. I would take your wellies as it floods when we have alot of rain and be aware of nettle rash on your dogs pads.

Hello all. Please note that this is a nature reserve managed for the benefit of wildlife by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. It is regularly used by school childre for education visits so it is vitally important that you take note of signs, ALWAYS pick up after your dog and keep your dog close to you, in sight and/or on a lead. For further information, please see our website Link →

Please also feel free to let your dogs off their leads & allow them to jump up on all small children (including the ones who really don't like it) with real muddy wet feet & just laugh it off with a small apology. Don't forget the obligatory, "He/she doesn't bite". As us Dog walkers rule the world...! & have no other respect for our fellow humans and their own offspring, who will grow up PETRIFIED of dogs...!!
