About this walk

This walk is just off Arters Lawn/Deerleap lane, and is just down the road from Longdown Dairy Farm. There is a small driveway taking your down to the main car parking area, so you might not realise its there unless you were looking for it. This is quite a simple walk for the dogs, there is a main circular route that is popular following the pathway from the carpark. There is also a forest route if you turn to your right when your in the car park. This does connect with Deerleap (look for that walk on here). This walks seems to have got extremely popular in recent months/years. It can get extremely busy, even at first thing in the morning, and is probably best avoided if you want a quiet peaceful walk!

A really nice area, especially with the different walks to choose from. As mentioned in the description above there are some great walks through the wooded part of the Inclosure (there are some very boggy pools around the stream going towards Deerleap!). Have to agree, this does seem to have become a particularly popular, busy walk.

Just as a warning for anyone thinking of going here, one of our dogs was bit by an adder last week. Very nasty bite, resulting in a hospitalised dog for a couple of days. Go careful!!

Great off lead round walk with plenty of parking at various points around loop, plenty of water too for safe swimming

Lovely walks - lots of different paths but is busy and lots of horses. We have an Akita so normally go late evening - 8ish when it’s quieter!

The forest track route dries well after rain although there is plenty of mud for dogs to splash in where trees have been cleared.
