This is a relatively small walk area on the outskirts of Marchwood. The easiest access to the Inclosure, is via the exit from the A326, (Marchwood bypass) and then its just on your right. This walk is a bit quieter than other locals walks, but it can still get busy at times. There is a sloping driveways leading up to the usual type of New Forest car park. Do not attempt it if its been snowing/icy, as its near on impossible to make it into the car park. The main walk area, does a loop that takes you up and over a hill, and back round through a forest area. The forest area does get extremely boggy. There is also a lot of horses here, and horse riders too. No bins, so you'll need to take rubbish away with you. Overall a nice gentle walk, particularly nice at sunrise/sunset, as you get nice rays of light breaking through the trees.

saw this comment today on fcebook thought it best people are aware Rodrick Besseling 17 hrs · To the inconsiderate creature in the forest this morning. Walking your aggressive GSD off lead. It came out of the undergrowth at speed, growling and snapping. I scooped my yorkie up hoping to protect her but your dog knocked me off my feet and shook the life out of my dog. I sat there holding her lifeless body hoping that she was just knocked out and would suddenly take a big breath and it would all be ok. It was not to be. My baby is gone. Where were u, skulking out of site. I heard u whistle for your dog. U better pray i do not find you. -

We love Marchwood Woods, lovely pine forest with lots of short walk/amble route options to explore. We have to keep our dog on the extendable lead in the forest but he loves exploring here, lots of paths and routes through the pines, open areas and ferns on the forest floor. Great place anytime of the year, its one of our favourite walks.
