This walk is located off Deerleap lane, and is almost exactly opposite the New Forest Wildlife park. There is a narrow drive down to the car park. The carpark splits in two, left and straight ahead. We normally take the path leading straight on as you come in, and head down towards the water and railway bridge. There are cows and horses about, and you do get a lot of horse riders visiting this area. There are bins at the car park for waste. Most people tend to do a "there and back" walk here, but you can incorporate a loop if you follow the path on the left from the car park. There is a small bridge further down into the walk, with a big stream that the dogs love to play in. You can also venture off through the forest to the right, but be prepared to get muddy! All in all, a very nice walk, but can get very busy on weekends/holidays.

We enjoy walking here. The car park is always busy...its a very popular area for dog walkers. Lots of different routes to follow. There were 20 cars in the car park this week but only saw two sets of couples from a distance on our walk, so don't let the busy car park put you off!!. Its a lovely huge area to explore. Only downside we repeatedly see here is the huge amount of dog waste that is not picked up, or worse is bagged but just dumped. This weeks walk we lost count of the fresh mess and saw 4 separate bags just left on the forest floor and on bushes. There is a large bin in the car park, so this is inexcusable. -

We’ve been twice now with our granddog and love it! We do the circular walk down over the railway bridge then under the arch back. Has all the elements of a great New Forest walk, but you need wellies as muddy in places.
