This is a circular route of 1km/0.6miles around Figsbury Ring on the A30 London Road, just outside Salisbury. The entrance is about 1/2 mile west of the Hill Top Cafe, which is the nearest refreshments/toilet location. The postcode of the ring is SP4 6DT for sat nav users.
A large car park can be found 445m up the bumpy track from the A30. The entrance gate to the ring is located 165m from the carpark in the top corner. The ring itself is 1km round (on the external perimeter route), but you can also walk atop the ramparts or within the inner circle too. There are great views from the ramparts of the surrounding countryside.
There is also a bus stop on the A30 at the track entrance "Firsdown/Figsbury Ring" on the Salisbury Reds 87 route.

Great views and dogs love running up and down the mounds. We always try to avoid the summer months because of picnickers and cattle on site from April to October. The only downside for some (not me) is that all you can do pretty much is walk in Link →

Spectacular views here and well worth a visit. There is a slight deviation to this walk through the gates about half way round. That takes you down a steep narrow track to Winterbourne Earls. We will definitely go back there !! -

Could anyone tell me if this walk is secure as my dog can be mischievous with her recall... Thanks -

Stunning. Beautiful landscape and amazing views. Lots of little hillocks for hounds and owners. All other visitors friendly and polite. Was quite quiet in December but guess it would be busy peak season. Highly recommend.
