About this walk
A circular walk on a mainly gravel track through Spearywell woods.
This is a National Trust owned woodland on the Mottisfont estate. There is a main circular walk of about 1.5miles with concrete markers. It's mainly on gravel although can be muddy when forestry works are taking place. The walk does have some hilly parts and there are many paths and tracks leading off into the woods if you're feeling more adventurous!

Lovely peaceful walk , lots of routes to follow and even a lovely natural picnic area. -

Walked here this morning (January 2021) for the first time. Nice walk with different routes to choose from. Varied walk with different views and few hills, nice to have a winding path through the woods too. Two dog poop bins prominent before you get back to the car park which is useful. Welly boots essential.

Location details
From Romsey head towards mottisfont on the A3057. Take the second left after Timsbury following the brown signss for Mottisfont. Follow the road past the Abbey until you are behind Mottisfont. Turn left into Bengars Lane. Turn right at the end of the road and Spearywell is about a mile on your left.
