About this walk

Brilliant scramble over common / new forest ground perfect for a big loop off lead. You can make it a small stroll or big long walk from here. Few horses about the day we did this. Definitely a welly walk in winter. We parked at the pub then walked up through the pub garden through the gates, across a small road straight onto the open area. We had booked a table at the pub for after the walk. Very doggy friendly although dogs only allowed in bar area not restaurant, but menus avaliable and the food is amazing. Doggy biscuits a plenty at the bar !

The description is incorrect. There are no toilets or refreshments available, never have been. There is just a small car park. There is no picnic area either, just a single bench. The pub referred to is 10 mins walk away and is currently closed due to this area being in Tier 4 restrictions.

Review was left at least 4 years ago, and as stated we parked at the pub....of course if not parking and making a reservation at the pub one would assume there are no such facilities.

Great walk in the forest sometimes a bit muddy in places but a nice circular walk
