About this walk

Ex quarry, turned into a water park. with several lakes of various sizes. paved path runs around most of them. 2 car parks 1 by gate & toilets is at the top of the hill giving some lovely views over the park. lower car park is a water level and paths are flat so very suitable for wheelchair access. there are many benches if you need a rest. Dog poo bags & bins are also provided at many points around the park. Located: Ravenstone road, North Ibstock

It actually an old open cast coalmine site - last production was in approximately 1992.

Recentley undertook this walk with our GSDR walking group. 6 dogs all running around and paddling in the outlets having a wonderful time. Was so pleased to see so many dog bins on route.

Our Little Lady Loved This Walk! A Little Bit Too Much As She Came Home Covered In Mud From Chasing Dad!. We Can't Wait To Go Back And Our Little Tilly Can't Wait Either As She Refused To Get In The Car And Leave!. Massive Thank You For The Write Up!.

This is a beautiful place, we took a picnic and sat by the bridge, overlooking the lake, it’s so peaceful somewhere we will definitely return to

Lovely walk, dog had plenty of places to stop for a drink. Not a huge place but can certainly get a couple of miles in.
