What a fantastic walk. The wood, the flowers, the stream, the waterfall, the dappled sunlight and then the priory. We will definitely be going back. Our dog loved running in and out of the stream for drinks and to keep cool. Thank you for letting us know about it. -

We loved this walk with our three lively dogs - plenty of stream action and things to explore. It had the sense of being in a real forest feel to it, was quiet, with quite a dense tree canopy and an abundance of wild flowers and trees to identify. We were also delighted to come across the ruins of the priory. Very satisfying spot to find from this website and I am sure we'll re-visit, especially as there was a whole area we didn't get to see this time. -

Brilliant established woodland within the National Forest. Great for our dog Lexi who likes exploring and loves water. Great for nature lovers too and old priory ruins make a great picnic spot. Pub next to car park what more can I say. 9/10 -

Absolutely gorgeous place! It was about 30 minute drive from me but I wanted to take my 3 dogs somewhere new and they absolutely loved it!!! I have 2 spaniels and a Collie so it was perfect for them as they loved the woodland areas and the streams. We also saw the ruins which I thought were amazing. Wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for this site so thank you!!! :) -

Spent a lovely afternoon here, we parked on the pub car park, it’s a short walk to the priory, but plenty of different walks around the woods, it’s a fairly quiet walk and the priory is a nice place to visit, we went to the bulls head later for a meal which I would highly recommend -

Amazing! We had 3 springers off the lead at all times and they were safe and they loved exploring the woods! Parking is easy at the pub then a short path to the woods, what more can you ask for. Loads of paths we didn’t walk and we were there over 2 hours walking and exploring -

Great walk, have only scratched the surface but there's a lot of routed, beautiful scenery and plenty of fresh drinking water for the dog. Park at the Bulls Head for free and spend a couple of hours in the woods. -

Little hidden gem. Gorgeous stream, old ruins, muddy at the minute but lovely. Will be covered in bluebells too
