A hilly, well-marked 7 mile walk that encompasses open fields, woodland, and beaches.
It's a slightly challenging route (due to the length and the hills), but the path is even and well-marked throughout (if slightly muddy at points).
There is a cafe, toilets, and picnic area at Foremark Reservoir at about the halfway point.
The route does pass through two fields containing horses, but only for a very short distance.

2 years agoA lovely, varied walk that is one of our favourites at any time of year.
2 years agoGreat walk! A few narrow paths and 2/3 occasions where you walk along the road, but not for too long. Mainly through fields or around the reservoir, not too hilly.
a year agoThe walk was signed posted as far as Repton Prep School l, around 1 Mike away and then nothing. Followed a foot path sign to find out it was an old one that went to a dead end in a field first time using Walkies, not sure how long I'll use it based on today's walk.
8 months ago'Beaches' now inaccessible due to morons stupid behaviour a couple of years ago, where the beaches were inundated with louts having BBQs, creating litter, drinking alcohol and having fights. The areas have now been fenced off, look very ugly and your dogs can no longer have a paddle.
