Moria Furnace was a brick building kiln. Now it's a craft centre, museum, cafe and childrens play area. A nice walk along the canal tow path takes you to into the neighbouring national forest. Located: Furnace Lane, Moria (Nr Ashby-de-la-Zouch)

Brilliant walk. Open fields for the dogs to run. Paths through the woods to explore - great for dogs and kids of all ages. And the furnace is a beautiful bit of history as well. -

Took my tri colour cavalier off lead, he ran head first into swamp muck! Looked like he'd been dipped in crude oil. Lovely walk away from the swamp!
