Really lovely place to walk dogs here in both summer and winter. The full way round the lake is just over 4 miles. Most of the lake lets you have your dog off lead, but there are some parts that require to be put on leads. Everything is clearly signposted though.

I love this park. We tend to go a couple of times a month because my pooch loves it so much. I would take him every day if possible. Just to add for the comments; there is a play ground for kids. It's VERY popular in the summer. Its beautiful and relaxing. -

Great walk around a large lake. Its 4.5miles to go all the way around, although there are sections where you add an extra couple of miles. Not really a place for a good dog walk on weekends and bank holidays. It gets so busy and its not much fun. No free parking. -

I feel I should update this walk, as we visited with my dog late March, only to find the lake had been fenced off. The gentle sandy bank not far from the main entrance has been covered with topsoil and been seeded with grass seed. The fence seemed to be all the way round (well where we walked) and the topsoil with grass seed added too. It was a real shame as we travelled 1 1/2hrs had two water loving dogs. -

Such a beautiful place to walk. You have a bit of everything there, woods, tracks and open areas, there are even places to swim in streams, as well as the lake, if your pups are water lovers It can get very busy during summer months, at weekends though -

Can you swim in the lake again now? We used to go and the dogs would swim in the lake near the entrance cafe, but when we last went it was all fenced off. Do you know if the fencing is still there? -

Lovely place to walk which you can make as long or as short as you want to. So many different areas to walk or you can just stick to walking around the lake. Nice café and toilets. However not cheap to park sadly.
