The walk starts in front of the castle, the walk is on a hard surface, it takes you a steady slope around the castle paths, there are paths leading off down to the river and park , play area and toilets. What goes down must go up, there is quite a steep path up the other side of the castle and through some of the castle walls through the gardens leading back up to castle front.

Lovely area to walk but if you have dogs you want to let off the lead best to go Mortimer woods
