Brean has a beautiful 3 Mile beach with exciting sand dunes to explore, it is possible to walk along the beach and then climb up Brean Down for a lovely view of the countryside and over the water. Even better, dogs are welcome all year around so as well as a lovely walk it makes a great day out for the family. There are dog friendly campsites to make a weekend of it too. If you aren't staying, the easiest place to park is either behind the Seagull pub where you can directly access the beach or further down by the amusement park.

We stopped in here on our way back from a winter holiday to Cornwall. Not sure if we found the right place to park, but we parked on the beach, and my husband and the dog climbed Brean Down and looked at the iron age fort there. There were other dogs to play with, seaweed to sniff, and plenty of old tennis balls left behind. Only down side was the complete lack of bins, so be prepared to take your pooh bags home with you. It's probably really busy in peak season, but it was so lovely to have access to this place, which I'd never have found without your recommendation :) -
