About this walk

Parc Slip Nature Reserve itself is an area of 300 acres containing a fantastic mix of habitats such as grassland, woodland and wetlands, restored from its previous status as an opencast coal mine.

Dogs are permitted on the reserve. Over 10km of footpaths are available for dog walking, with litter bins along the routes for disposing of doggy bags. Car parking is available adjacent to the Visitor Centre. There are areas available for securing dogs on leads outside the Visitor Centre, with water bowls available at this location. Pick up your free doggy bags from the Visitor Centre.

Beautiful peaceful dog walk, we completed the orange/ Fox trail which we both enjoyed.

Great place to walk whether in Summer or Winter. Clear trails and plenty of opportunities to walk off lead.
