About this walk

A beautiful picturesque walk through the historic town and then the grounds of Cirencester Park.

I would recommend parking in the Abbey Pay and display car park as there is limited free parking in the area. And the Abbey car park is quite reasonable and not too pricey (car park postcode - GL7 2DA) once you have parked up there are lots of dog friendly shops, cafes and pubs to stop off in, then walk through the town towards coxwell street and take a left onto Thomas street and then its a left onto Cecily Street.

Walk to the end of the road and you will see a large set of gates and a small lovely little coffee van called Beano. Then continue walking up the path following this round the park to the top of a small hill, the path then turns to the left in an open field which leads you to the queen Anne’s Monument. When in the park dogs are allowed off lead, the park just asks that they are under close control, there a little to no dog bins till you get back to the beginning of the park.

Loved this walk, £4 to enter from Cecily Hill gate, but more than worth it. Lovely walks, friendly dogs and owners and a great coffee at the end. Parked for free.
