This 3 mile walk starts from Keyhaven where there is limited free parking on the sea wall and a paid car park with toilets. The path is dog friendly as well as giving great view to the old salt pans with a superb variety of water birds and many sightings of rare ones during the year. Plenty of bird watchers with lenses, most happy to explain what they are looking at.
In addition to all this, there are amazing views out across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

I know this walk. One thing worth knowing is that the parking near the start of the walk is NOT FREE. New Forest DC now charge for parking near the sea wall, and it is not cheap. On the other hand, if you go the other end of the walk, near the end of Lower Pennington Lane, Lymington, parking there is free, and you can simply do the same walk but not have to pay for parking!
