About this walk

There is parking at the car park (As of May 2022 it is £1.20 1 hour, £2.40 2 hours, £3.50 all day.), there's a lovely 10 minute walk down to Salhouse Broad itself, lined with ancient oak trees. The path splits part way down where you can either head straight for the Broad itself, or take the longer boardwalk, which skims the edge of the Broad. Both paths then take you to the mooring area which is closely followed by a natural beach area, great for dogs to have a dip (there is a restriction for dogs on leads in the peak season but only in peak hours) You can follow the Broad along another boardwalk along the edge of the Broad and you can return either along the same path or divert back through some woods.
There are dog poo bins on site and dogs are very welcome.

The write up needs amending as it is now paid parking. As at May 2022 it is £1.20 1 hour, £2.40 2 hours, £3.50 all day. In reality you can do this walk in less than an hour. You can only go so far before turning back. But there are picnic benches & a lovely mobile catering van on a green slope facing the lake which you can easily spend some relaxing time enjoying.
