This is a beautiful stately home in the city of Nottingham. There is a large park, some areas wooded and large open grass lawns. You can let your dogs off the lead except in the fenced areas where the park's deer herd is grazed - this will be clearly marked. There is a lake to walk around and the dogs can swim, just avoid areas with water fowl. A kids play area, cafe and shop top this off. With no entrance fee and cheap parking, it's great for a day out with a picnic or an hour or too.

What a great walk!! Remember parking is done on a pay and display, and it can get quite busy on a nice day. We headed straight towards the lake, up through the courtyard, turn right at the top, dog friendly and off lead all the way down to the lake. Lots of friendly faces and plenty of bins. On our way back we stopped in the courtyard for some lunch and were even helped by the staff to find the pups a little bit of shade. Fantastic day and will most certainly do it again! -

Enjoyed visiting here. Nice little walk around the lake with proper paths, and up to the house. But plenty of open space for longer walks. Good car park and facilities. Nice views. -

Dogs need to stay on the lead a lot of the time because of the deer. -

Good mix of woodland and grassy areas. Deer do roam free here so I would recommend keeping dogs on a lead
