This area was created as a Community Woodland Local Nature Reserve and is managed by the Somerset Wildlife Trust. There are a number of walks around here and these are marked routes.There is a short circular walk around a planted tree area, or further longer walks.Wheelchair access is possible around the planted area, although beware the ground is uneven in places. Also note that the river Tone winds around along the walk and the bank is steep in places. There are accessable areas, where many a pooch likes a swim!! There are benches around the planted tree areas, for a quiet sit and also some wood carvings to look out for. On street parking is avaliable although limited. Pick up after your dog is encouraged and there are bins provided.

This winter wellies were a MUST! The area flooded several times and the walkways, none of which have hard core, are still very muddy and sticky and feel like walking through treacle! -
