Ham Hill a wonderful dog walking resource. Ham Hill is 390m acres. There are masses of different walks depending how far you want to go - a leaflet is available from the wardens office and on line. It is the site of the largest hill fort in Britain with fabulous views and currently in the summer months there is a 'dig' going on by students from Cambridge and Cardiff Universities. The dig is happening because there is a famous quarry on Ham Hill which wants to expand into a new area and the area is being examined before the quarrying commences. The land is owned by the Dutchy and leased to South Somerset DC. There is a very dog friendly pub on top of the hill called the Prince of Wales which is useful for meals, refreshments, toilets and dog treats!

Great place to walk your dog.. Be careful as horses do gallop from time to time. The warrens and Ham hill can get busy at weekends.. so parking can be a hassle. -

Good space for dogs to run around. Check website to see if catlle are grazing on the hill. Check for ticks after the walk in the Summer....lot's of them about!
