About this walk

Countryside. Village, Lanes, Open fields, River/Stream and 2 Fords. (1 ford is shallow, ankle depth & the other is deep, over adult knees. The dog loves it and swims the whole length 🐶💦 It's about a 5k mainly flat walk, although off road with styles to climb over. You can stay on the lanes to miss the fields if you want. On a map the roads are Monksford Lane, Wetmoor Lane & Knowle Lane. A lovely round route. Great walk when hot as dogs can dip in and out of the river almost all the way around (as can you 😃) Be aware that there are usually sheep or cows in some of the fields, so dogs on leads please. No car park so be prepared to walk. 'Wookey Hub' in the Village is a great place to stop off for refreshments. Dog friendly too. Or we have a selection of 3 pubs! •The Ring o Bells... dog friendly. Lovely in Winter sitting by the open fire eating fish n chips 😊 •Burcott Inn... dogs outside only. •The Pheasant... unsure

I did parts of this walk. The dog and the children had a lovely time playing in the larger ford. Perfect for a hot day with several opportunities to cool off.
