Cerne Abbas Giant Walk, Dorchester, Cerne Abbas
4 years agoJust done this walk and really enjoyed it from start to finish. We parked in the car park. Our sat bag took us past it, so head for the village hall and you’ll see the car park. We walked in to the village first along the river which Banjo loved running along. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and the village is really really pretty. There are public toilets as well. We then walked through the woods and around the surrounding fields. Walk was 3.15miles
Free Car park good, turn left to begin walk . bin near beginning of walk. Walk steep chalk path , great off lead for dog but Nana struggled a bit.
Please note steep not was the cerne abbas Giant post sign. I think if we had gone straight ahead footpath around bottom of hill it would have been much easier !
