Rudyard Lake is a picturesque lake in Staffordshire, top gear once filmed on the lake. You can take a walk around the lake or just go part way and turn back. It can get really busy on a sunny day but it is beautiful and there are lots of little secret beach like bits, our dog loves getting in for a swim.
I am not sure how long it would take to walk round the entire lake but apparently The Lake covers some 168 acres and is over 2.5 miles long. Definitely worth a day out, there is a hotel next to the lake that serves food and drink and has a lovely beer garden and you can rent a little rowing boat on the lake so plenty for everyone to do

We went here earlier this year after seeing on this site. Very enjoyable walk lovely cafe at end/beginning. Unfortunately we kind of lost the trail at the end of the wooded walk and therefore couldnt walk all the way round however very nice hour or two pottering and dog enjoyed running off getting muddy and wet. -

This is a lovely day out, we parked at the hotel £3 all day, if you spent over £10 you got your parking back, it’s a beautiful walk round the lake and is sheltered if the weather is hot. We also took the lake walk from the hotel I really liked this as it was very quiet, the main lake walk is busy. The hotel is fairly priced for drinks & food would definitely recommend
