About this walk

Lovely walk with a variety of orchards, open fields, and riverside areas to walk. Lots of other dogs to meet and free of livestock.

Initially for the first 100yards or so leashing your dog is advisable.

Parking areas. 1st one: drive into country park past petrol station. Take the first turn on your right and up to the first car park. Go to the furthest end. You'll see some dog bins. Follow the path, be aware they have a miniature steam train so there are some gates to go through. The trains have right of way. Explore.

2nd parking area: don't take the right turn as above follow road into another large parking area, once again go to furthest point, where the buses park, leash again until your walking down the hill towards the river. Explore.

We had our first walk here this week - thanks to this site - and the dogs had a wonderful time!

Well twe took our 2 retrievers here on Sunday, beautifully peaceful walk, not great for people who have mobility issues, but fantastic walk for dog walkers, the river Avon was great for the dogs to clean off and have a swim - but be careful is can flow fast. Lovely long walk Poop bins at the beginning of walk not many others. You can go different routes and your dog can explore.

Great walk along the river avon. Did get a bit lost after entering signposted fields but likely my fault. Natural beauty and quiet despite sunny Saturday. On my visit nearly alll walkers had dogs and alll off leed
