Walk the Derbyshire Dales along the High Peak Trail. We chose to start at Middleton Top but there's many other points to jump on. The former railway line runs for 17.5miles. There are toilets and oaid parking, plus cafe at Middleton Top. We walked towards Black Rocks. Its about 1-2 miles, downhill. Be aware, it'll make you puff on the way back up! The track is stoney, wide and goes from flat to hilly, open views across the valley to tree lined. The lune has signposts charting the history along the way. Dogs don't have to be on leads but there are bikes! Our dog loved it. We enjoyed the spectacular views.

We had a fantastic walk with my Labradoodle while visiting the area , lovely views,the visitors centre was helpful and served coffee and snacks. Be warned it's a steep hill coming back up -
